I was being a bit of a smart ass. I dunno where else his hand swollen video is uploaded, honestly, but Ortiz using his hands nicely just got upped. It's the newest news out of camp Ortiz.

While the excuses are being made at the same time as the camp being ignorant to excuses being made up by fans, put out a video debunking an excuse for Ortiz to lose the fight. Clearly his hands are fine and this thread is reaching.

Surely fighters have a full medical and surely hands are inspected?

I'd have thought inspecting hands is part of a medical, that wouldn't go unnoticed so it is either nothing or the medicals are a complete joke.

That said, David Haye fought Bellew after relentless rumours of an achilles problem, Haye travelled abroad the week of the fight to see a specialist and that was ignored, anyway Haye must has passed any medical and then his achilles goes in the fight.

Rumours of Wilder being ill are also doing the rounds, I just hope both are fit and well and it's a great fight.

More excuses from the Ortiz camp, as usual. Let's hope they don't get caught roiding before the bout!

Ortiz' fight against Sullivan was a classic. If only he could regain that form

Yeah fighters hands can look pretty messed up. When I saw Ortiz' hand I thought of Felix Savon.

One of his heavy bags was a stack of truck tires hanging from the ceiling. I imagine hitting that for years helped harden those fists, but also helped disfigure them. A shame he never defected. He would have blossomed into a fantastic pro heavyweight, once he didn't have to cut to 200 pounds anymore.

 speaking of Sullivan's.. Ortiz's compatriot Sullivan Barrera said Ortiz has sparred Felix Savon, rumour has it Ortiz also knocked out Teofilo Stevenson's great-great-grandfather in an amateur bout when they were teenagers, too.
