Why the **** should you sign a contract to go to the olympics. You should qualify, and that's that. **** this centralized system.

We should send our best Ams to they olympics, irregardless.

Again, this is why goes don't get into boxing, it's bull****. Let them train at home, or where they choose, with there guys. It's what got them there.

If we get a Jason Estrada, we get a Jason Estrada, **** happens.

I find it funny that only a Belarussian seems to get why the US put this residency program into place and required them to be in Colorado Springs this year.

Seriously, what does the US have to show from doing things the way they had been doing? 3 Gold Medals in 12 years in Boxing. Russia wins more than that at a single Olympics, and you can be damn sure that their National team isn't living at home training with their old coaches. They're living with the rest of the team, and training to fight internationally. For years the US team might be the best of the US, but they have no international results to show for it because their individual coaches don't know how to prepare them for international competition. Not only that, you sign a contract because you aren't representing yourself in amateur boxing. This isn't the pros, where you can be an ******* and no one cares because it's just you. You're representing your country in the biggest international sporting event in the world. If you can't carry yourself with some sort of class and dignity, then you shouldn't be representing your country.

Seeing as how Dan Campbell called him one of the biggest liars he knows; I'm going to guess Yanez has had a few rule violations in CS and this was the last straw. There were all sorts of rumors coming out about guys getting into fights; etc. Maybe he was involved in them, or bad mouthing Campbell, and this was the last straw.
