Might have to favor the bigger fighter Rolando Navarrete to knockout Espinosa in a fun shootout. A nice all Filipino scrap while it lasts.

Do you remember when Rolando dropped to feather against that Korean fighter?

Oh wow love this match up as I was a big Espinosa fan.
Loved Rolandos right hook which was such a short compact powerful punch thrown quick and was indeed a potential knockout blow.
Espinosa had power too and most people don't know he laid out Galaxy in one round.
Also crushed Gonzalez in 4 rounds and beat Soto as well.
But Espinosa could be chinny at times and end up getting stopped.
I think the difference is Espinosa was a much better boxer who had more to his game but if Rolando gets that right hook going and lands it even once it has the potential to end the fight.
I could easily see both fighters ending up on the canvas.
Rolando always gave me the impression that he didn't train the way he should have because in some of his performances he just looked lackluster until his power would bail him out.
I say Espinosa survives getting dropped returns the favor and wins a decision that would have been argued about for years.

I don’t recall him dropping to Featherweight but I know he did fight a Korean fighter in a very grueling war.

Navarrete weighed in at 126 for his first match against South Korean southpaw Tae Jin Moon, who would stop Rolando twice. This was near the end of Rolando's career.
