Unfortunately for Campbell he's found a 'level' and won't be strong enough for big punchers at this weight. He'll learn alot but deserved to lose, but clearly is lacking in strength and went down against a light puncher who is durable. Hopefully he'll learn and not fade into oblivion like Gavin has.
Campbell is fighting at the right weight and by all accounts is very professional. Gavin isn't/hasn't.
The style of fighting is similar, Luke is slightly more exciting and has a bit more of a dig. But is very bad under pressure, again similar to Gavin. His infighting ability is virtually non existant.
Needs to be matched very careful he was exposed a little tonight ..needs to humble himself thinks he's lord of the manor around Hull I hear
He needs a full time pro coach whoever it may be, I actually told him this 2 years ago, he's got all the skills just didn't sparkle last night for whatever reason
Time for team shake ip...his coach is his amat coach. ..luke also helped with funding for his coaches boxing club.....his coach won't say his doing s.h.i.t when he is scared to
Campbell is 28 years old, he isn't a baby, was dragged 10 rounds by Coyle who is seriously vunerable and was well beaten last night. He was an excellent amateur but he isn't an excellent pro, he definitely isn't "world class".
I thought he didn't look right during the ringwalk/intros last night. I know it's easy to say after the fight, but maybe something was off with the preparation? Or maybe he knew he was out of his depth? Suggests something may be lacking in the mental department.
He is better the frankie gavin for sure. Came up short against a good opponent who has mixed at a good level with much more experience than him with 38 fights? Certainly he will learn from his mistakes and still dream of the world title later.
