To be honest I'm not 1 for sport and politics mixing but recently in the Elite UK FIGHTS thread I started COOL Hand Luke Campbell got a bit of love which I liked being local to Hull but I was also surprised a bit. Anyway apparently he's running for Mayor of Hull and I wish him all the best.. I think he has a lot to give locally and if he has some good people around him it could perhaps give him something to focus on in life after boxing... Hopefully more boxers across the country could get on board, they have so much to give in their local communites.. It's just a big up thread to Campbell here in the city, if you choose to reply please keep politics out of it or on a politics forum.. Thanks
Always seemed like a top bloke, this move is something I'd have expected from Tommy Coyle more so than him though. Hope he does well
Coyle does loads locally, especially at Christmas but obviously he's never going to be the best on camera. We are lucky having them both, it was a really peak time when they we both boxing, chuck in Curtis Woodhouse and the football team doing well at the time... It's great to see them putting back in to the city. There must be loads of local boxing heroes all over the country.. I'd love to hear of others I probably should change the thread title?
Yeah didn't mean to sound anti Coyle there have heard all about the work he does. Nothing wrong with the title!
