Mate calm down and stop getting aggressive and shouty! Its a bit weird on the internet. I'm not up his bum or on his Johnson or whatever it was you typed, I personally think he will come up short at the higher levels of the pro game always have. But even if he never goes any further than british/European level how does that make him 'bum' or a 'fraud'? He has dedicated his life to reaching a very high level in the sport. One you or I could only dream of reaching! No I don't even think audley is a 'bum', he was a massive disappointment in the pro game, and was a boxer but not really a fighter. I sparred once (im only a novice amateur) with a lad who'd had around 80 amateur fights and won a couple of welsh aba titles, and had went 2-2 as a pro and he absoloutley took the **** without trying! It made me appreciate the amount of levels there aree in boxing.
Campbell can come back from this. His positioning was shot all through the fight and hes now got a good idea of what not to do agsinst an opp looking to get on the inside. He also needs to work on his power and strength. Probably be a good idea to look at a change in trainers. His trainer is his old am coach and whilst thats ok for the am ranks the pro game is a differdent approach. I still think campbell one day could be a world champ but its certainly not gonna happen in the way hearn was prophesising. He could well lose some more fights before he lands a title.
He perhaps needs to look at going with a new coach, they had no answer to Mendy at all. He has talent, as did Gavin, as did Audley, but talent isn't enough, I'm sure he is Mentally tough enough but tactically I felt he had no idea what to do against Mendy.
Do you have any idea of what constitutes a bum in boxing? If you did you'd realise making it to the pro ranks doesn't make you some super hero. If you are a seasoned fighter to which Campbell is, above prospect level and you are only good domestically, then you are bum in the pro's, that's how it is and that's how it will always be. And a fraud is a fighter who thinks and pretends they are at world elite level, but evidence suggests they come up short every time they fight a good opponent. So all this **** about you putting on a pair of gloves and getting beat up like a toddler against some guy with more experience than you, ain't got nothing to do with Campbell being seen for what he is. This is why there are sub rankings to catagorise fighters. There are the cab drivers, tomato cans, journeymen, prospects gatekeepers, frauds, prospects, fringe world level and the elite. The level of opponent campbell faced was a journeymen with a host of losses, and the only type of fighters that get schooled by no good journeymen are bums. So there you have it. That's the reality of the situation
Campbell problems is his whole amatuer success was built around being ridiculously tall for bantemweight and fight at long range the whole time. He was so much bigger than his opponents that it was hard for them to touch him over three round and he never developed an inside game at all He then decided to turn pro at a higher more natural weight for some reason and gave up his almost freakish height advantage and now his lack of strength and inside game have been exposed. He doesn't have any inside game what so ever and I don't know how much can be taught to him becuase his boxed all his life at long range using his height advantage
He's relatively young, hes early in his career, and in all honesty, this loss is a blessing. Campbell was being heralded as something that he's not yet... but he can still learn and improve and have a great career. Luke campbells handlers if your reading this... His stance is too taut. He needs to loosen up and move in there.. , i think he can box beautifully if he got away from the dogmatic textbook style that has been drilled into his skull, in my opinion it is hampering his natural gifts, he's got speed, coordination, athleticism. whosever bright idea it was it to have this guy box like andy "the mummy" lee is grossly misjudging what he can be.
He needs a new coach...his coach is yhr same coach from amateur days @14yrs old....booth or Gallagher would b better
Campbell is just not strong enough at the weight just like Kevin Mitchell, Frankie Gavin. wont do **** in the game will float around European Level
