I think Campbell only won 2-4 rounds against Mendy but this thread is ridiculous. He's an Olympic gold medalist who has shown a lot of promise in the pro ranks. He does have power as well. He just didn't look 100% on the night and he was in with a tough guy who seemed to want it a lot more. The jury is still out on Campell but I believe he has the ability to show a lot more.
He's not as good as Frankie.. Gavin being the level of beyond elite etc.. 21-0 (20) doesn't look as good as it did.. and 21-1 (20) looks even worse etc.. Albeit some have won titles and all that.. but remember the days of Manny Charr with perfect KOs.
Not a bum, just lost to a stronger fighter. A professional fighter has be very strong and sometimes the stronger fighter will beat the more skillfull.

This is why there are sub rankings to categorise fighters?! Ha what a load of *******s, talking as if these are official sub rankings with specific criteria. Who defines these you? I'll get on to tris Dixon at boxing news and tell him there are specific sub categories such as frauds and bums so they can publish them regularly. Yes phrases like journeymen and gate keeper are commonly used terms to describe were a fighter, but you describing amir khan as a fraud and luke Campbell as a bum is your misguided opinion and doesn't mean that they are in the official 'sub category' that exists in your mind. I don't think they are some kind of super hero, I am judging here so apologies if I have it wrong, but I just think you have no clue or consideration into the time and dedication it takes to get to 'bum' level like luke, or 'fraud' level like amir. you are getting lost in boxing semantics. is luke and amir khan bums, absolutely not bc they are great athletes. however, if you are judging them by a different standard, olympians are always held to a hired standard bc they are expected to achieve great things bc of their amatuer pedigree even with his losses, amir khan is proven. But compared to mayweather he is a bum. From his total body of work, amir khan deserves his respect as he has made it to the top level and fulfilled his olympic expectations. luke campbell? so far from what i have seen, he is a bum. he is one dimensional robot and only good for the amateuers. i have seen him in the gym and always wondered what was so special about him...i am stil yet to see it. if you are an world class amatuer and you lose to a domestic gatekeeper like mendy, then you can be categorized as a bum bc luke campell will be compared to the likes of yurikos gamboa, lomenchenko and rigondeaux......his olympic counterparts would have destroyed mendy. luke campbell is no where near that level, he is a british champion at best, not world class - he is a bum
