The issue as well is that Loma/Garcia/Linares are P4P fighters, so in reality you would have to be more than just "world class" to get to the top of 135. And we haven't even mentioned Easter and Barthelemy yet, although I do feel Easter is very overrated.
Going down the WBA route now then, couldn't hazard a wild guess as to why that is........ In fairness to Campbell, this is a good fight...hopefully he can put everything together and do the business in good fashion. That said, with 3 weeks notice... hopefully Perez has still been ticking over and is in good shape. Campbell does seem to get some stick on here. Yes the pro's is a different ball game, but the lad has talent and was an outstanding amateur. By taking himself away from a young family, as well as the issues with his fathers health, to work with Rubio.. it shows his dedication and desire to do everything he can to succeed in the game.
It was one of the worst robberies I've ever seen, maybe even the worst. You could have given every single round to Perez. I don't think this is straight-forward for Campbell at all.
Completely forgot that fight even happened; assumed Crolla was his most recent fight so I trashed it a little. He still hasn't had much notice but that's a legit fight for Campbell for sure. I've never been sold on him at all at being near top level so this is potentially quite a fun fight
I'm not sold on Campbell either, I think he's pretty good but will fall short to the top guys. I also think his chin is VERY suspect.
Campbell is good until he gets hit, still i hope he gets past this guy and gets his shot, he deserves that much
Amazingly Perez has magically appeared at no1 in the rankings! Wonder how that happened? WBA sould not be recognised anymore
