Luke Cambell will fight Jorge Linares in LA on September 23rd, Linares looked great against Crolla last time out but he can also be hurt and Ko'd as he has been 3 times previously. Does anyone give Cambell a chance in this?
I think Linares will be too much for him. Yes, he has been stopped 3 times before, but the last time was 5 years ago now. Since then he's gone from strength to strength and seems to get better with each performance. Linares was outstanding in March against Crolla in the rematch. If he puts in anywhere near that level of performance against Campbell, I don't think Campbell stands a chance against him.
i agree with what you say but cambell is better than crolla imo, cambell can punch compare to crolla and being southpaw and bigger than crolla i see it being a lot more competitive than the crolla rematch in March
It's a big step for Campbell and one I don't think he is good enough to make. He stopped Perez which is fine but a Perez who hadn't been at that weight since the Crolla fight which takes some gloss away. Never been that highly sold on Campbell to be honest and I think this fight will show the difference in levels
I hope this fight is more competitive. I went to both Crolla/Linares fights, but I didn't see the point in the rematch, although I'm glad it happened, 'cos it was a pleasure to see that Linares performance. I think this fight has come too soon for Campbell. I think Linares will stop him.
I think it's to big a step up for luke, Jorge didn't look like he was on the slide in his last performance and there's only a 2 year age gap between the two of em but vastly diffrent gap in experience I give Luke a punchers chance but I think Jorge will frustrate him and like I said in another thread if the fight is going the way the last crolla one went I can see Luke caving dont think he has the same mentality as Anthony but he is more skilled than crolla.
