After Mikey Garcia's decision to stay at 140 pounds. The WBC belt will be vacated and the 2 highest ranked contenders are Luke Campbell and Yven Mendy, how do you see this fight playing out?

The first fight was an even contest, so i'd take whoever has improved the most since then.

    Campbell by UD.

Good fight to gauge Campbell's growth. I slightly favor Mendy to repeat the W, but wouldn't be surprised if Luke avenged it.

Pretty interesting fight, Mendy definitely has worked his way to a title shot and Campbell showed class against Linares last year.

Mendy is no longer an unknown, should be the favorite.

The version that schooled Jesús Arévalo can not possibly lose to any version of Luke Campbell we have seen in the last three years. That was a flawless performance and Luke can't hang with his slick accurate counter volleys or penetrate his turtle shell.

I believe Campbell beats him this time around. If the fight actually happens that is.

I’d take the Campbell that fought Linares. That guy was world-class.

He was pretty good; did you see Mendy vs. Arévalo, though? Not that Arévalo is on the same planet as Linares, but my point is that Mendy was on tremendous form, and has if anything improved since he beat Campbell, and I think it just boils down to a nightmare style for Luke. I don't buy that he just underestimated Mendy and that was that. Yvan's freaking legit.

Heck, an unknown like Mendy doesn't get a decision over Campbell on a Matchroom card without having soundly beaten him. The St. Paul's man got schooled that night.

Luke is a game guy, but he'll struggle again with the canny technical pressure of Mendy. He and his handlers have done nothing really to address that defeat except sweep it under the rug.

Exactly, that was no fluke. People are still underestimating Mendy.

(btw, I'm going to be sending you a PM shortly)

    Nobody is underestimating him.

But Campbell's performance against Linares was impressive and a similar one beats Mendy imo.

Yeah definitely an impressive performance. I was telling people that Campbell would give Linares issues. People were calling me crazy for saying that. People thought it wouldn't even be competitive.
