Luke Campbell vs Yvon Mendy 2 predictions and poll

I think Campbell will win. But Mendy seems a big enough price imo to bet

 

I think it'll go the way most of us thought the first would

 

Campbell points.

Mendy was the better , stronger man in the first fight. I usually hate excuses for losses in boxing, but Campbell did really seem to have an off night that fight, he really didn't see himself at all.

 

Lucky Luke on points. Maybe controversial

 

While everyone talks about how much Campbell has improved, Mendy has also shown improved form in recent fights. I've got Mendy winning another one that's scored closer than it probably should be.

 

Campbell must win if he is to move onto another world title challenge, I admire Luke for trying to get revenge but I think it’s not without an element of risk . Luke may have improved he needs to hope that Mindy hasn’t.

 

I think they may have got Mendy at the right time here. 33 years old, still boiling himself down to lightweight. Lots of mileage on the clock. Tough as old boots so can’t see him being stopped but think Campbell will win at least 8 rounds for a points win.

Regardless of what actually happens Mendy isn't getting a decision, no chance.

So Mendy needs a stoppage to win and in my opinion he has a chance because Campbell is very suspect around the chops.

But that said, Campbell will get picked up by the referee and given enough time to boil an egg if he is dropped.

So I'm going with Campbell by Decision.

 

I'm going with Mendy. He was damn impressive at the weigh-in. He looks ready, both physically and mentally and I don't think Campbell can take him out.

 

Campbell is the most underrated/under appreciated British boxer at present. I really can’t think of anyone else who is more so. The highly skilled Luke Campbell wins a wide points decision.

 

I think the ref will jump in late ish on in the fight. Campbell stoppage, without any real evidence to back this other than I feel Campbell will want to make a huge statement and get revenge.

Judging by the first win and seeing that Mendy hasn't lost since, I'm thinking Mendy is a very good pick for this fight but you make some good points. I didn't know he was 33.

I've never been high on Campbell. Although he did surpass my expectations vs Linares. I was impressed by him in that bout.

 

Let’s just throw that out there. If Luke Campbell didn’t have a brief lapse in concentration he would be world champion and would’ve defeated one of the best p4p fighters of a decade.
