Luke Campbell vs Yvon Mendy 2 predictions and poll

I thought the decision was fair but was thinking I could possibly, possibly have accepted a draw. Maybe I'm being harsh on Linares there.

The knockdown was beautiful.

 

I think Luke will stop him this time and make a huge statement. Can't see it being a clean KO, but likely a corner stoppage after 6/7 rounds if Luke is winning easy.

Seems to have gone under the radar this but what a performance that was last night.

As the commenterary team were telling us rematch’s tend to go the same way. Then in your head you’ve got the fact he’s knocked you down before too. I don’t think the announcer helped by stating “looking to avenge his loss” before he announced Luke’s name either! All added to the pressure.

Mendy was a relentless pressure fighter and never gave Campbell a minute, he was constantly coming forward but Campbell was slick, slipping some nice shots and firing back with good combos and just accelerated in to the lead. He really did look a class above. It looks like the McGuigan move is going well for him too but I would’ve like to have seen him go with Adam Booth.

 

I was watching it via DAZN with the likes of Sugar Ray Leonard and his colleagues offering quality insight and really admiring Campbell’s boxing clinic. It was refreshing and much better than listening to Smith & co.

 

From what I seen Campbell looked excellent. Like he finally knew how to use his potential. The link up with McGuigan could really see him push on.
