I agree with Rockhold here, he would have smashed any version of Anderson to bits. The UFC MW division has improved leaps and bounds since Silva's reign. Any version of Anderson would have gotten the life beaten out of him by the top of the current crop of MWs.

 

Anderson fought a pre trt Vitor not the trt version that fought Rockhold. Two different beasts entirely. And LR has improved greatly since then. Anderson TDD wasn't elite, he lacked the physical strength and wrestling skills to defend good shots. He generally struggled when he fought competent wrestlers i.e Lutter, Sonnen etc and often relied on pulling guard. Anderson also has holes in his striking as Weidman and Bisping showed like being too over-reliant on countering and low hands. A brittle bambi like Anderson never came close to beating any of the new generation of strong, athletic, well rounded MWs like Rockhold. He’d absorb brutal kicks to the body and punches then get dragged to the ground and pounded out.

 

What a bizarre sport this...unfortunate that this punk pos is a champion now, ugh.

 

You were spot on. I don't know what say, Rockhold was just so lackadaisical in there. He thought ****ping would be easy work.

 

The only silver lining here is that ****ping will get beaten in his next fight. I'd like to see him in with Romero next.

 

Now I gotta watch highlights of Henderson KOing ****ping to get his out of my system.

 

****ping is one of the most classless *****s in the sport.
