Gotta go with Castillo here, who could box and bang hard enough to get Pintor's attention. If Castillo could hold up to Olivares' bombs for that many rounds, Pintor will seem a vacation.

Darn good scrap! I would lean towards Pintor taking a close decision or 2 out of 3 in a trilogy. But these guys would be fun to watch

Oh, man, what a matchup! If Castillo doesn't nail Pintor early during his 'slow-start' then this is going 15 rounds to a tight decision. I like the counter-puncher in this one. Castillo on a good close 15 round decision. BTW, when I mention him nailing him early, there's no guarantee he would keep Pintor down, but Castillo could drop him early with the counter as he did with Armstrong, Olivares, Pinto, Herrera, etc.

It's a real pick em for me and I see it going the full 15. It could be epic over the Championship rounds.

Yes, dad always marked Castillo down as a great counter puncher. You ever seen any footage of the Armstrong fight?

He was a tough lad Evan, He went the distance with Legra twice up at featherweight and by some accounts was unlucky to not get a decision over Joe Medel in Mexico in his previous fight.

I always remember his British reign at featherweight (or was it commonwealth) where he seemed to have mastered the come-from-behind knockout

Funny enough I was chatting to Alan Richardson who lost to Evan in a British and Commowealth title fight in a brutal battle recently at one of the ex boxers dinners. He commented on how tough Evan was. Vernon Sollas was a brilliant natural talent and there were real high hopes for him. Evan took a real shellacking from him and came back to stop the young pretenderr. that fight is on youtube by the way.
