Great matchup. I like Canizales by decision. He had the faster hands, better skills, and the chin to withstand Lupe's best shots. He was also a proven late round fighter.

I`ll second Zippy`s analysis, Canizales by a clear but competitive decision.

Canizales was a good boxer, with fast hands. But I don't think he had the punch to keep Pintor off of him. Pintor applies alot of pressure to turn the fight into a brawl. A better boxer in Gomez could barely keep Pintor at bay & that was due to Gomez' powee. I look for Canizales to wilt about the 13th or 14th round.

Pintor was able to find Gomez because Gomez started to come forward and initiate a shootout. He didn't try to box Pintor.

Great fight. Pintor had heart of a lion and would win come-from-behind late stopage or decision.
