They will win the case as well. One thing you can say about Frank he is mostly legally secure and knows exactly what he is doing.

Don't think they have much of a chance of winning, but they can always try of course.

I havent looked but I am guessing loss of potential earnings? Big named fighters not willing to fight on the bill due to the boards threats.

They are suing them for preventing board licensed boxers appearing on the show.

LBF are claiming that their show has been hit by the board bullying fighters who want to take part out of it.

My personal view is that if the board want to take their license away from anyone moonlighting then they should be able to. After all, it's their policy with boxers that box on other unlicensed shows.

Its not just luxemburg, its ****** and a bunch of fighters too. This situation is being a little overlooked but could have massive implications on the bbbofc

But this event is licensed yet they still make the threat, meaning boxers wont take the risk (frankie gavin & Buglioni to name 2) and ends up with a **** poor undercard with dappy performing i mean WTF? and im going to this event

The board are guilty of applying a restraint of trade over it's
Licence holders who are wanting to fight on this show. They have made a decision based on there opinions and not that of the fee paying members(boxers) there has been no consultation period just a decision made by the board on everyones behalf which IMO is not lawful .
This is not good for British boxing , but in the fullness of time may be a blessing in disquise bringing an end to the bbbofc as we know it.

Too many egos at the Bully Boxing Board here, not only do they stop their members making a living they are now going to waste a load of money on legal fees in uneccesary litigation with LBF and Frank ******.

This event is not licensed though. The term "unlicensed" means not licensed by the British Boxing Board of Control and this is not licensed by the British Boxing of Control.

So by that token the BBBofC is treating this the same way they treat any other show in this country which does not come under its jurisdiction. They do not let their boxers to fight on EBF and IBA shows (which also issue their own licences) and therefore they should not let anyone box for this rogue organisation.

So how come the Klitschkos fight on German shows licensed by the Austrian Boxing Federation- are these all unlicensed?

Remember the BBBoC is a business and all they are trying to do is protect their future earnings by preventing any other organisation earning off shows on there patch. In business i would do the same thing but that doesnt make it right.

Sure, BBBofC has faults, but would people rather see unlicensed boxing here? ****** sees a nice payday, he's bound to try and slip past Haye being unlicensed, and Chisora being a brainless tw*t who's now banned for the SECOND time (people have forgot the earbiting incident?).

The Lux BF have now been chucked out of the EBU, so no credentials there anymore.

If, and I'm not recommending it, sadly there's a Watson/McLellan incident, who picks up the pieces if there's compensation to pay? ******? West Ham Utd? I doubt the LBF, if still involved, or some other shady org, will have the resources.

Maybe the BBBofC needs reform, after all they're like the old Jockey Club, a private club formed ages ago, and they've now been moved aside and racing is run by the BHA. A modernised BBBofC would be better, but at present they do a reasonably responsible job of licensing. You could compare them favourably with some of the USA state commissions!
