Other sight is reporting that he is blaming injuries for inactivity and lay offs, and says he is ready to go.

How does he account for going to **** after his great performance vs. Brewster?

I havent seen him at the gym..since earlier this year. I doubt highly he has been training unless he has moved.

Brewster needs it more than Briggs.

He would get outpointed badly if hes out of shape.

If he came in shape tho he could trouble Povetkin a bit.

Sergei's problem always have been fighting the much bigger guys (Briggs, Valuev). He steps in the ring vs. One of these monsters he buckles. Lyakovich would be good vs guys like Chagaev, Ibragimov, Brewster, Boytsov etc.. the smaller HW's. That has good fight written all over it.

Doesn't help that he was fat vs. Valuev as well.

Just an FYi. I saw him in early 2009 and I think about October and prior 2008 he was coming fairly frequently. However, he hasnt actually trained since October 2008. Again, this is just my experience at my gym. He was not in great shape when i last saw him working out. Then again, he isnt the ripped type.

For all I know maybe he doesnt even train publicly anymore. Maybe he moved, I dont have anything inside on him.

Lychovich has the potential to be the best HW in the world, IMO...

who cares. He is in the kirk johnson league of boxers with talent that have no drive. We need less guys like that, not more. Lyachovich is usually not in great shape, he fights once every year at best, and got beat in what became a skills match against the dreadful Valuev. Who cares about this chump and his excuses.

Won't go far and I won't be surprised if he loses his first come back fight against whoever. Think the Briggs fight was his end, it's sad because he's actually a very good underrated fighter. That fight with Brewster was FOTY stuff.

Problem is, the Brewster fight looks more and more like the exception rather than the rule for Liakhovich (is it Ly or Li?)

I may agree with you there, but let's wait and see.
