Seriously, even Billy's mother called him when she heard this. He did say he doesn't see this fight happening, though he would take it if offered. He'll fight anyone. And he just graduated from college?

He said he would have no trouble facing 'either German'. He is a true 154 pounder though and prefers to fight there. He was asked about making WW but said he prefers to fight at 154 and not cut because he just feels stronger. Had to eat his way into 155 for the Duddy fight and was probably outweighed by 10 to 15 pounds on fight night.

Oh, local radio broadcast. No linkable source, but jsimps did the interview.

I finally saw the fight today. I think it would be an interesting match up. Billy is where he is because he wasn't afraid to fight someone he would lose too so he fought better competition than Duddy. How long can ANY top fighter avoid a challenge and be ready for one when it comes?

Again, I don't think that they want him to face Abraham or Sturm but someone like Golovkin.

Maybe the Lyell camp is using all this publicity to try an drum a better price out of the Duddy team for a rematch in Dublin. A Lyell Abraham fight would be a massacre.

Don't see Billy fighting at 160, unless he gets a title shot. Says he is most comfortable at 154. Likely to have another fight before the Duddy rematch. I tried to talk him into getting Duddy to fight in Youngstown, but don't think that'll happen.

Billy's wants the likes of Corey Spinks.

Haven't seen Vince G around for a while. I appreciate the fact that he digs lower into divisions and brings those guys up.

Hard to say. He didn't talk much about the offers in the interview I heard.

Lyell said he would be willing to face 'either German'. That said, Billy doesn't have the power to keep AA off of him. If AA showed up in the same condition as his last fight, Billy could tire him out enough to make the final round.

I think they are like 3 fight deals. Not for AA or FS particularly.

I can tell you from personal experience there are enough Irish in Ytown that John wouldn't know the difference. :D I'm really excited for the guy and waiting to see what his next move is.
