Prime for Prime. Bruno outboxed Lennox Lewis for 6 rounds and he has big time Power. Can Bruno outbox Lyle? I give the power and obvious chin advantage to Lyle. LYLE KO TKO 9
It would be a case of Bruno gaining an early advantage, building up points with his jab. Lots of heavy shots landed by both men, culminating in Frank getting tagged, freezing up with Ron stopping him anytime after the sixth.
I don't think Bruno would have had the survival instincts to deal with a rough, tough, hard hitting guy with the aura of a Lyle.
If Lyle Lands anything near or like he landed in that 1st rd rd against McCall , Lyle doesn't get up , that right hand was harder than anything Shavers ever landed on any1 . If he doesn't , he probably gives Lyle d usual holding and clubbing , and if Lyle was hurt by Ali then he surely doesn't last long against Bruno . Bruno wins by either early or mid rds stoppage . Even Bruno's stamina is underrated , d reason 4 his "loss" 2 Witherspoon was Witherspoon landing well on him while he was down , but James Smith was their common ancestor .
Two big mooses. I'd favour Lyle because he proved he could get off the deck to win a fight. He almost beat Foreman - until George went full-on prehistoric on his ass.
Bruno was finished against Witherspoon before he hit the deck...imo I don't actually think Bruno's stamina is underrated either... I think he definitely had a stamina issue...yes, Frank had contests like Carl Williams, Pierre Coetzer & Phil Brown where he went 8 & 10, but in those contests he was controlling the pace of the fights, so he could fight at a pace he could maintain...furthermore, he wasn't intimidated by the 3 I've just mentioned, so used less nervous energy than he did against the likes of Smith & Witherspoon...Bruno was as tight as a drum against Smith...using lots of nervous energy leads to tiredness... I think Frank, in some fights, had a temperament problem in big fights and fights where he felt insecure about the opponent. This, imo, led to him using lots of nervous energy, hence the stamina issue... All imo of course...
No way Bruno was getting up against Witherspoon. He was done. Also, it's up to the referee to call it when a fighter is on the ropes or against the corner post. It was only Bruno's feet that were touching the canvas when the last punch landed. It's up to the ref to call him 'down'.
Michael Grant was finished against Andrew Golota until Golota quit while rising from d only KD Grant scored , Jose Luis Ramirez was finished against Edwin Rosario until he caught him with that flurry and stopped him , both suffered multiple KDs until they won their fights , I know according 2 classic forums and history sections hitting downed opponents , thumbing and scoring with elbows r d bread & butter of d punching arsenal , but not according 2d rules of d sport . so i don't care about your opinions , they don't count .
Bruno was sitting on d floor very clear xpecting d ref 2do his job , but d ref didn't . I just gave 2 examples of fighters in 2 fights who were beaten worse than Bruno was by Witherspoon , and ended as d big winners in those 2 fights they were badly losing . It just shows how much u ignore d rules , and from my years long xperience with this board , i don't xpect d vast majority's opinion 2 differ yours by much . should i believe that d justice is where d majority ? onn this board most of times if there r 2 options and d majority chooses 1 , then d correct choice was d other . unless d question was extremely redundant and meant only 4 IDK what
OK Frank, but I honestly believe Bruno was virtually unconcious before he went down, I don't believe he could have recovered...
Haha i like the phrase Foreman went all prehistoric on his ass which he did. If Lyle rocks Bruno like he rocked Foreman in the first round Bruno is in trouble. However did last what 5a rounds in the first Tyson fight. I believe Bruno has the power to stop Lyle but yes Lyle came off the canvas f a Foreman kd. Tanks for responding everyone
Well, Terry Lawless jumped into the ring to protect his fighter, and neither Lawless, Mickey Duff or any of Bruno's team made any complaints about the stoppage... We'llhave to agree to disagree on this issue I think:good
