I think so too. Lyle survived an early onslaught from Earnie Shavers to out last him for the stoppage. Took some huge bombs from Foreman and handed him two knockdowns in return before finally going down for the final count. Beat some other decent notables in Mathis and Bugner. Ruddock went 12 with Tyson and scored some respectable wins over aged versions of Dokes, Smith, Weaver and Page. If it goes the distance I might take Lyle on points. But depending on how these two go about fighting each other, it could be stopped at any point.
Interesting fight. Both could punch, Ruddock might have had a slighly better chin, which is debateable. I'll go with Ruddock.
Great match-up. Can make a strong case for either. I think Ruddock was slightly more successful overall, so I would pick him ever so slightly.
