buatsi was blocking with his face his last fight, literally... yarde, buatsi and arthur all disappoint all one dimensional
I think Buatsi breaks him down for a stoppage mid-late rounds. Yarde pushed in the 12th round only and almost got the job done. Tain nothing away from Arthur after the win at the weekend but I see Buatsi and CJ as a level above.
I’m still not sold on Buatsi, Hearn was talking him facing the likes of mikhalkin and caperello over a year ago and instead he’s fought 2 blown up supermiddles. if he is the goods then he beats Arthur, completely different fighter to Yarde.
If they were to fight in the next 6 month then I'd pick Lyndon to beat him. Firstly, i don't think we're giving him enough credit for his win over yarde. To come in as a big underdog and then have your main weapon seize on you at the moment you're about to go over the top (injuring his right hand in the changing rooms) then to go in and control the fight in the way he did, takes a massive amount of control and concentration. I've always had Lyndon down as a slightly nervy fighter, especially early on, well he got thrown right in the deep end there and came out of the other end now knowing his worth. I reckon this is exactly what he needed to move up a level. In his mind now he's dealt with some gremlins and that will make him a better fighter now, I'm sure of that. Buatsi on the other hand looked underwhelming last time out with a lad who he would of run rings round had they met as amateurs. My honest opinion is that he's not transferring over into the pros as well as he should be, he's brought his old amateur coach along with him when he turned over and I'm not seeing him develop any real style for professional fighting. Moreso he's just continuing his amateur style and trying to lengthen the amount of rounds he can keep that same style up for, from 3 rounds to 12 rounds. Should they meet next, I'd pick Lyndon to beat him. Buatsi should consider getting himself a new coach. I do think Buatsi has the potential to go far, but whether that will be fulfilled, I don't know.
I agree, what stops me thinking he could go far is his self belief. Barrett was doing his best to pump some belief into him in the corner. He seriously doubted himself. Hopefully he can kick on from here.
Buatsi beats Arthur all day long. I thought yarde gave that fight away. If yarde put it on Arthur 2 rounds before he gets the stoppage. Buatsi is a better boxer than he showed last time out. Buatsi beats Arthur by stoppage but does it round 7 onwards. Arthur has a good jab but I don't see it being enough.
I can't see Buatsi falling for Arthur's one trick. He will have spent hours in the GB Elite Squad with McCracken and Woodhall working on the execution and negation of the jab. Arthur is a decent enough Boxer and will be around for a few years to come but Buatsi stops him.
Buatsi is at least a level up from Lyndon Arthur, much more talented fighter, and a much bigger puncher especially with his body shots which would put a stop to Arthur jabbing and moving effectively. He's also a very good finisher and won't be as hesitant as Yarde to engage so I think he stops Lyndon in 7-8 rounds.
I think Buatsi's speed and combination punching would probably see him home VS Arthur. Although its hard to judge LA on the last fight, was there a problem with the right hand surely there must have been but most fighters normally come out publiclly afterwards and he hasn't. We know Arthur can box on the back foot he's done it well Vs Spellman and Yard but i think Buatsi has a few more gears and certainly hits harder than Dec so i'd lean towards him at the moment but we haven't seen the best of Arthur just yet. It's an interesting fight.
I think Buatsi beats Arthur. He has superior movement and fluidity. I think his punch resistance and lack of power only get found lacking when he steps up to world elite level. Buatsi has more than enough to decision Arthur clearly.
