Should be a good scrap. I've got my local Colchester boy coming through in 6! Colin Lynes is a great fighter, but his time has passed!
Should be good, i think Purdy should win but maybe will have to come from behind for stoppage late on, or close points job.
I've got the vBookie thread up. Lynes 8/15, Purdy 15/8. Should it be so close? :huh http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=356694
Good fight. Lynes is/(was?) the better boxer. Not too impressed with Purdy's skills but he's found some good punching to put away Watson. But obviously Lynes got age counting against him here. Thought he looked good in Prizefighter though, but 12 rounds is a different matter.
I really think Lynes at his best was better than Purdy. But Lynes always been a bit soft centered, when he starts getting hit he doesn't wanna know. Remember him letting Branco back into the fight in Italy after completely outboxing him early? Fell apart against McCloskey
The bout reminds me of Booth Quigg. Cant be having Lynes on my mind at all he's quit too many times. Purdy via stoppage
Thanks mate! :good 8pm there is 3pm here, so it's a bit of a juggling act trying to watch/score/report on the fights amidst actual work tasks. It turns out the boss is actually stepping out early though (2pm, or 7 UK) so managing my own time should be a breeze :thedevil1...as long as it doesn't get hellishly busy. Murphy's Law of course dictates that it will, and that Perez-Page and Purdy-Lynes will both be FOTY candidates and that I will miss them. :sad2
