i think lynes will win, use purdy's youth and aggression and catch him with combo's while he pushes forward. purdy gets caught a lot and although he is not a big puncher i can see this going the same way as mitchell v murry for lynes

  2. I've got Purdy by stoppage in this once, between 6/4 and 2/1 with most bookies.

Like TFFP said, Lynes at his best was probably a better fighter, but that best ended when he was ripped off in Italy against Branco, a fight that I felt he won pretty clearly.

After that it's been a couple of failed attempts at PF and a couple of knockout losses to McCloskey and Olusegun.

Purdy on the other hand is in good form and on the rise, back to back KO wins against Watson is bound to leave him pretty confident.

I can see Lynes giving him a bit of trouble early with his jab, but he's easier to hit cleanly than he once was, especially to the body. Can see Purdy putting it on him in the middle rounds and a stoppage around the 8th/9th.

I can see Purdy smashing Lynes, tbh. I think he'll walk through him after a few rounds.

Kind of my feeling here as well. Not 100% but 13/8 on the Under 9.5 rounds is too delectable to pass up. :think

Think Purdy does him in 6 too.

I'm unsold on Purdy's power. Theres a chance Watson's chin is pretty poor, I always thought his demolition in Italy was a freak result but maybe the Purdy debacles bring another theory to light? Purdy ain't done anything else in his career to suggest he's a big puncher.

Even allowing Craig's chin may be poor - Lee put a bit of a nice flourish on the shots that did him in, don't you think? Even if his raw power's just average he knows how to turn it over when he spies an opening. As you said as well, Lynes has seen better days.

It was more Purdy's pressure and being right on top of Craig what I liked. It wouldnt be the first time Lynes folded tamely under pressure

Watson didn't look right to me in the second fight very soft and he just didn't seem there mentally and look like he just gave up didn't fancy it at all.

purdys the big favourite but i've got a feeling about lynes...last chance saloon n all that. i am worried that just a prizefighter in June is not exactly great preparation for this fight though
