The UFC is a joke these days, I mean, why are Maynard and Edgar fighting for the LW title when it should be Melvin Guillard, Yves Edwards or Crazyhorse Bennet fighting for the title. Those three have accomplished more than Maynard for the title and it should be two of those three fighters fighting for the title for the next 5 years.

This is a silly argument. Of course all things being equal Machida doesn't deserve to be the number one contender THAT'S WHY RASHAD EVANS WAS! However Evans is injured, Davis is injured, Griffin is injured, Shogun and Jackson just lost to Jones and so he gets the shot because the UFC needs a main event for Toronto. End of story.
