well I guess that make him desperate and dumb , seeing that he threw a lead right from 3 to 4 feet away , telegraphed the punch, then lead with chin, running forward.

I can see if Bader tried to change levels with the punch and take him down but he wasn't given the opportunity.

Well that is just because he has dreadful technqiue with his punches.

The point is he was forced to lunge in like because of the way Machida was fighting. He couldn't get near him while Machida just counterd and landed shots from the outside. Bader got frustrated and desperate because of this and his mistake cost him

Great fighter, only really lost to Shogun twice (in reality) & Jones once... he doesn`t look the biggest at 205 lbs but his technique & awkward style carry him thru in style more often than not.

Only he flew in with a right hook that Machida blocked and countered

Apparently he is open to having one more fight before getting a title shot. I respect that.

Very well could be. I wouldn't be opposed.

If not, Gustafsson needs someone to fight. That would be a very interesting match.

Good point, at least with Guf there's a 50% chance of a new guy challenging for the belt

Gustafsson vs Machida would be the ideal #1 contender fight IMO. As much as I love Shogun, his performance vs Vera really doesn't merit being close to a title shot. He needs to prove himself again, needs to look good against a top 10 contender.

He isnt getting a title shot after his fight with Vera either

  15. Would like to see him eventually fighting jones again. Styles match up. Machida could cause an upset
