Robbery of the worst mother****ing kind. Not a SINGLE round, mathematically or otherwise can be given to Machida. Sorry but taps on someone's gloves don't count.
Machida didn't get KOed by a wild punch, he wasn't "stupid" and got caught in submission. He just got his ass whooped. He's overrated, I don't wanna hear any explanation.

you said it all... Such a shame.

At least now Dana won't be able to claim that UFC judges are fair comparing to boxing judges. Same ****, same robberies.

I wouldn't call him (Machida) overrated, as no one else he fought came close to do what Shogun did in there last night. Shogun fought a perfect fight and was really determined. I would favor Machida in a rematch

Im a Shogun fight but i believed Machida would beat Rua.

But as the fight unfolded it was clear that Rua was dictating the pace and imo picking Machida off.

I had it 4-1 to Rua.

well, taking into considiration majority of the people saying how easily Machida is going to whoop Shoguns ass, you can call him overrated. What does 'overrated mean?' imo, it means that public considers a fighter to be better than he really is, giving him too much credit. Thats what happened to Machida! Proof? just read these boards or any other, bookmakers had him as a heavy favourite as well.

the consensus of an easy Machida win was largely based on Shogun's recent performances in the UFC (loosing to Griffin and going life and death with the old tank). he fought a perfect fight, more well deciplined, and I don't think many of us expected it, neither did Machida to be frank.

Shogun won the fight, same bull**** that happens in boxing regularly. I felt sorry for the guy, he has come a long way getting back to his best in the last couple of yrs after the injuries etc. Those judges need a kick in the balls, its not right.

I was thinking exactly the same. All credit to Shogun, very happy for him. He's had to overcome alot of obstacles to finally get back to where he once was. He showed tremendous determination and belief, people were really writing him off. Like you said, he's come a long way.

I thought Shogun deserved the nod as well. Perfect gameplan from Rua.

I don't think Machida is overrated that seems alittle harsh, Shogun just had the ultimate plan and the tools to carry it out. Shogun I believe is back healthy physically and mentally its gonna be hard to beat him now if he stays focused.

Did anyone think Rua looked a weight class higher than Machida in there?
