Lyoto Machida vs Rashad Evans

People saying Machida is boring can now STFU. He has power, can finish. He has everything. Can't see Evans beating him.

 

Tough call. But I'm going to say Rashad by split decision.

 

I never fancy Rashad in any fight hes had I've usually picked his opponent but he seems to keep proving me wrong.Here I'd go with Machida also but who knows?

The handspeed won't matter too much , I don't think because Rashad won't be able to get in range. And when he does it will only be because Machida is engaging and before Rashad can do anything, Machida will be gone.

Machida surprised me with just how brilliantly timed his counter attack was but Evans is more reserved and his punch power could knock out anyone.
I think it'll be an intriguing battle. In terms of excitement, I hope one of them dominates the early rounds, forcing the other to take more risks. If not, it could stink up the arena.

i pick machida. he looks like a phenom.............improving every time out. rashad is difficult to beat, but i just think that machida is more talented.

Interesting fight, I think that it is a bad match up for Machida (who is my favorite fighterRashad evans is pretty smart and very quick maybe quick enough to take Machida out of his comfort zone? I still pick Machida because the size of the Octogon. If Machida wins the first round I pick him for sure
