    Its clear that his game plan was to take it to ground. The only thing is that Fedor followed his own game plan to perfection and stuffed every take down attempt. If Monson fought any other fighter then he would have gotten that take down. Even against a top class wrestler in Cormier Jeff was more successful at his take downs.     Monson was at least able to hit Cormier, Fedor on the other hand was a totally another level and your fightmatrix just shows that.
