    Taylor wins at 140.

The Taylor of 147 probably loses, although I wouldn't count the Taylor who beat Aaron Davis out.

Taylor lost something from the damage sustained against Chavez and the move up to 147. Too short, stocky, brawl happy, and had modest power.

Taylor is a brawler trapped in a boxers body. That'll work against him at 147, and work in his favour at 140.

I'm sure at 140 Taylor could get the decision by outworking Cotto, but that jab is something special and might even be able to give Taylor trouble.

In what way is he leagues below?? What were Taylor's best wins? Both fighter saw their potential cut short by brutal beatings.

I think M. Taylor beats Cotto 9 times out of 10 at both weights

140 Talor/ 147 Cotto. I think yal are remembering Taylor for what he could have been, not for his actual accomplishments.

I doubt Taylor's career really would've been all that different anyway if he'd beaten Chavez, or didn't face him.

He had his flaws that were gonna catch up to him.
