This statement is obviously preposterous but something else bothers me. Moorer's presence there at all. I don't know, he just doesn't seem to fit well with a guy like Manny. I guess it might be a distraction during the preparations.

Moorer is using a figure of speech here. Don't take literally. What he probably means is Manny has the knockout punch of a heavyweight. It's simile or hyperbole, whatever you call it.

 

Does this mean Moorer had the chin of a welterweight?

I think by hitting like a heavyweight he mean pacquiao has one punch ko power judging by him knocking out 4 of 7 sparring partners. Hatton better pray that pacquiao doesnt have that kind of power, because he has enough to worry about already.
