AJ wouldn`t have able to do that v Tyson due to his heavy muscle which is the point Tyson was making, AJ is no Tommy Hearns.

6'4" 235 pounds is the cusp of being a "super-heavy". 90's Bowe size

"Smaller" modern heavies are >6'3 225 pounds.
You have a middle bunch like Ortiz & Parker (230-40, 6'3/6'4)
    Then real superheavies, Dubious (244), rioded AJ (254) & Fury.(260-270) 6'5"+

& you have a few oddballs like Andy Ruiz 6' 270 pounds.

Any decent super heavies can stick them smaller men on the end of their jab & clinch them into submission which is what Wlad did for years.

Why the notion that Mike Tyson puts forward "has trouble with smaller guys" has never really played out for the past 20-30 years. None of these small guys move that well.

Even Mike slowed mid/late fight & became stuck falling short.

Two really crazy notions going on just in the first pages of a single thread. Not bad even by General standards. Just to be clear:

Ward wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell against AJ.

Ward is much greater than Byrd.

I don’t think Joshua will ever come in that heavy again. He’s strong at that weight but gasses way too quickly. He gassed pretty early in the Wlad fight and if Wlad wasn’t so overly cautious he would’ve stopped him. Joshua needs mobility and I think he’s found it at around 240

I presumed you were trolling but then checked to see you were actually being serious. You’d have to have an IQ of 75 to think Ward could KO AJ at all never mind with one punch. AJ would obliterate him and stop him very very early.

The gap in skill and class between Ward and Joshua is larger than the gap between the front two teeth of a hillbilly. Ward would have beaten him without taking a punch.

11” reach disadvantage so can’t box on the outside or out jab Joshua and Ward liked to smother you on the inside and the out muscle you. How do you think that would work on a 250 lb man? It would be so easy for Joshua stylistically. One punch through his guard or one flush jab and Ward is on the canvas. Ward was pillowfisted as well tbh and didn’t have a great chin against much smaller men. AJ by stoppage in the first 2 rounds. You’d have to lack very basic boxing common sense to have your opinion.

Smaller men were too skilled and too fast for Ward to just stay on the outside and avoid all their punches. Joshua is totally different. And your punch resistance tanks when you completely gas out. WAR WARD!
