yes. mab is an elite fighter, all he has to do is come up with a good fight plan. i'm not really into discounting fighter's chance of winning, especially of an elite fighter in his prime (against opponents that are more or less within his fighting weight).

I don't think so. Maybe if the young Barrera who actually came forward fought him in a brawl he'd have a chance, but the boxer Barrea would lose every time. Pac's speed will always be too much for him in that instance.

i am a bit surprised at the comments. it is almost unanimous pointing to a MAB defeat.

quite unexpected for a future ATG and HOF.

^ just boils down to it being a bad matchup for MAB

At 122 I give MAB a definite edge, from FW on up I give it to Pac.

Might also have something to do with being sued by his manager right before the fight, having to fly to LA to get xrayed and having to explain the metal plate in his head, and being burned out of camp as well.

That said, I think Manny is naturally bigger than MAB, who was the smallest out of all five of the great recent featherweights and he was at his very best at 122. MAB is probably physically stronger than Manny at that weight and a 122 lb MAB can fight like a whirlwind all night long. The higher the weight class, the better Manny likes it.

    dude,

    don't spin this this ****.

pac moved up to 126 if i remember it right to challenge mab. mab was settled in the weight already while pac was still moving up.

look at the fight again. both practically have the same physique, height etc.

pac actually looks very thin during the fight itself. how can you claim that pac is naturally bigger than mab?

Pac at his best beats Barrera at his best in my opinion. I don't discredit Pac like many do for beating Barrera the first time, though I don't think Barrera was shot, but it seemed like he had something going on in his head and just was not the same Barrera.

I was impressed by Barrera in the second fight, probably wasn't the best Barrera physically but mentally he fought the best fight he could have and just wasn't enough against Pac.

Pac seems to keep growing though and getting better with each and every fight, though Barrera is one of my favorite fighters of all time, I think Pac is the greater fighter for sure.

:patsch:patsch we are talking about fighting weight.

    you are arguing non sequitor.

we are talking about fighting at 122 or 126 and insist that pac is the naturally bigger man because he will be fighting at 147?

    :patsch

idiot. don't you know they have been giving pac protein shakes just to increase his weight to somewhere 140.

he came in at 138 against hatton. go figure.

lol. you are the genius here.

Could you possibly be that stupid? Really? Why would I even bother trying to argue with someone so stupid? You're a waste of time.

    :rofl:lol::rofl.

you are the ****ing idiot around here.

so what if pac is ripped. he trains harder than most boxers.

how can he be naturally bigger when he walks around 147-150.

he is exactly the same physique as mab.

why are you trying to make it appear that pac is the bigger fighter.

:patsch go find a tree ang hang yourself, you village idiot.

By the second fight MAB was definitely in a sharp decline, and Pac just seems to get better with every weight class he moves up. If Pac beats Cotto I think you just about have to acknowledge that he's the best of the bunch, but that's a big if. Pac's chin below FW was questionable, I believe it was sapping a great deal of his strength getting down that low for as long as he did.

In fact, if Pac beats Cotto I think you have to start taking him into consideration for Henry Armstrong - SRL - SRR -Ali level greatness.
