he just was content on running.. esp in rd 12 his fans were booing him. anyone who says mab was robbed is stupid, pac outboxed him i gave mab 3 rounds
Sorry dont agree, MAB fought a good intelligent fight on the back foot and imposed his will on Manny and bossed the majority of the fight. I also think the scores stank - difficult to pick a winner but it was nowhere near as wide as that, the judging was a disgrace!
Tell us your score card. What rnds did you have Mab winning? Then come back and say the score was a disgrace.
You must have watched in sopcast where you can only watch 1sec for every 4 seconds shown. I did not see MAB dictating the fight. What I saw is a MAB who is more concerned to last the whole 12 rounds than engage Pacman in a fight. He said it himself during the interview. He was proud to prove the doubters wrong that he will not last the whole fight. atsch How can MAB dictate the fight when he is just countering every Pacman attacks? Barrera was contented on moving backwards the whole fight and I didn't know that moving backwards all the time means dictating the fight.
I gave MAB 3 rounds in that fight. He didn't deserve to win, he didn't even want it. Almost like RJJ-Tarver 3 when RJJ was clearly just trying to make it 12 rounds.
I gave him round 5 and 7 and last one out of genoristy.. they said pac had no boxing skills but pac boxed his ears off. mab also told merchant pac's defense was too good.
I gave Barrera rounds 2, 3 and 5. But he fought and tried to equal some of the rounds that Pac won. I think he didn't run, MAB performed well trying to win but just insufficient to overcome Pac.
MAB was not robbed, he cashed in for his sake and his family and so did Pac, what did you expect? You may have been robbed but that's the price you gat to pay for believing in fairy tales... Relax, you are not alone, worse would be if you had not been robbed but just had missed a thriller ( which didn't happen btw).
From reading some of the stuff about this fight, I'm glad I didn't shell out $$$ to watch it. Me and my boxing buddies were very skeptical of this fight, from jump, and figured we'd just wait a week to watch it on HBO--hell, I'm not even sure we'll bother watching it, after what I'm hearing about it!
The things Barrera did before the fight... 1. Called Tyson and ask about the timing to bite Pac's ear...(no offect because he choose running). 2. Daily routine was 6 hours of boxing and 2 hours of running...LOL..effective...
Agreed. He fought intelligently, but since he wasn't willing to take many risks, who was outgunned by a younger, faster, more powerful foe. Think about that. The fact MAB even went 12 without ever being in serious trouble is a testament to his technical genius.
The only disgraceful scorecard was the one that had it 7-5 for Pac. I had MAB winning one round (the fifth). Two more could have been even. Other than that Pac won the rest. MAB just wanted to survive to the final bell.
