nothing to do with barrera as you can see by my avator its barrera getting whooped by pac ..any other ****ing silly statements ?
One of those rare fights where I remember exactly where I was sitting and sensing that something special was taking place.
Barrera pretty much made Morales take a knee in the 12th...a prime, iron chinned Morales. Insanity that night.
This is the fight that got me watching boxing :good I agree with the others about the judges having the winners reversed in the first and second fight, but it came out even so its all good.
Morales definitely won round 5, it was the round of the year in 2000 I believe, its in my top 5 favourite ever rounds. Marco had his moments, spectacular bursts of punches but all in all Erik just threw & landed far more, you cannot give this round to Barrera, Merchant & co always liked MAB better but for them to give him this round was ridiculous.
Please, even hardcore Barrera fans refuse to acknowledge that bull**** knockdown. Terrible call by the referee, even Merchant said it was bs, thats just about all you need to know here.
I`ve seen this fight more than any other fight & my view on the fight is...... 1. Its the best fight I`ve seen. 2. Barrera landed the more eye catching combinations throughout. 3. Morales threw & landed more punches throughout. 4. Most rounds were hard to score. 5. The knockdown in round 12 was bull****. 6. Either man could have got the decision & it wouldn`t have been wrong. For the record, I think the 1st & 3rd fights should have been called even, razor close fights (biased Barrera dick licking commentary aside) but the 2nd fight was a CLEAR Morales victory, that was the only robbery of the trilogy.
You`ll need to watch it again, Barrera missed a left hook, his arm grazed Morales back, Morales had bent down too low & Barrera`s leaning on him a little was enough to push a tired Morales to one knee, he popped up straight away & charged straight at MAB & unleashed about 5 or 6 punches, hardly the actions of a man that wilted so much he needed to take a knee. That`s what I saw, to each their own tho :thumbsup Ps. its highly unlikely you are a bigger Morales fan than me, I`m probably a bigger Morales fan than you are a DLH fan tbh
Morales was hurt badly with a double left hook right before Barrera missed his final grazing shot that wilted Morales to his knee. Morales was physically bothered and put down by a shot that happened prior to the one that missed. it was a delayed reaction thats happened before in boxing.
