I'll remember Marco Antonio Barrera as a true professional. Showed up for every fight, gave us memorable wars at a high degree of skill, outclassed Naseem Hamed (putting an end to his undefeated streak), and was able to bounce back from defeats. One of the most well-rounded fighters I've seen; could fight at a distance, in close, could outbox you behind his left jab, beat you up by focusing on the ribcage, counterpunch, you name it. All Time Great and my favorite fighter since Roberto Duran
I agree, that's about enough out of him, blatant disrespect to ATG's and non-stop nonsense about Pac for 2 solid years is enough for him to be ignored. Johnco is disqualified also, by default.
Just to add to it, I loved MAB's no nonsense style, he was very technically pleasing and didn't take s**t from anyone
I remember the guy who was running away from Pacquiao and was looking for a moral victory by going the distance.
The Baby-faced Assasin who gave us a FOTY candidate against McKinney. The MAB who reinvented himself into a master boxer after Jr. Jones. The MAB/Morales trilogy. And of course the man who asked Hamed. "who's your daddy?" IMO anything MAB accomplished after the Hamed fight was frosting!
