I can take the last couple of days and summarize any boxer and use that as an answer no diffrent than what you just did ! If you honestly think that MAB's career can be summed up by Manny's greatest win, well then the only truth around here is that your lacking any credibility !! Imagine if after Manny's loss to Morales in their first fight ,would it have been fair to summarize his career on that one loss?? Do yourself a favor and show some respect to a fighter as great as Barrera ..Hopefully the same will be done in the yrs to come when Manny retires ... Lets hope that he doesn't lose from now until then because we could have someone like yourself with the same lack of credibility smearing his name off 1 loss . Please give respect where respect is due !!
That's how you remember him... But I'm answering it in my personal opinion. If you ask me about how I remember Morales. I would say.. The biggest Cajones of all Mexican by going SouthPaw against Pac in 12th rd. See... I respect EM. Coz he showed something.
Morales gets stopped twice by Manny and Barrera fighst him to a decison once and loses to him by KO and you called Marco Manny's punching bag ..Hey if you hate Barrera let it be known but don't disrespect himby dismissing him so easily ..And what you don't respect MARCO for what he did to Morales ? Its clear Barrera must have taken your girl or something :rofl
:good :good :good A had more respect on him after seeing his other fights! Man! He was one of the best!!!
...THIS thread is in honor of Mab...so lets just give hime due respect! Lets avoid bashing! ... Anyway, let me add.. although pac worked hard to win against MAB..It was pac win over Mab which put PAC in the limelight! It was the greatest break in PAC's career. His fight against MAb!.. Like somebody said.. if pac did not fight Mab, he might not be where he is right now..
Bad form PDB... Bad form... Your bad mouthing one of the best Mexican boxers ever (plus arguably one of the world's best figthers)... The one image I remember of MAB was the one with Johnny Tapia right after they fought... They looked like little kids who were best friends for life (and they are) even after they tried to hit each other in the nuts. Warriors man... Pure warriors...
i'm more of a morales fan, but i have equal respect for barrera. the guy's transformation from a mini jcc to a "jack of all trade's" fighter, shows you what kind of man barrera is. from his dedication to the sport, to his warrior spirit; the man is the epitome of what an all time great is. i'd say that he's also got one of the best resume's of the past 25 years. hamed, morales 3x, jmm, pacquiao 2x, juarez 2x, jones 2x, ayala, ayala & kelly (decent wins over faded versions) etc...... just a great fighter.
Pacdbest need to upgrade his answer here. The Honor of the "The Best Pac Punching Bag" now belongs to DLH!!!
i like mab as a boxer. he fought the best available out there. not a ducker i might say. like his style.
I'll remeber him as a great fighter and a bit of a bitter loser. Check out the cheap shots he threw at Pac during breaks and that punch he threw at Erik Morales in the press conference.
