No. Valero now would hand a methodical beatdown to MAB and probably KO MAB....and I'm one of MABs biggest fans....Valero can box and box beautifully if he chooses(a common misconception on here) combine this with power and a nice killer instinct and the outcome is easy to see. Now a prime MAB is a different story:yep

MAB would easily expose Valero for his crudeness, even at this stage.

Is this a joke? MAB still prime? First of all just watch some of his old fights and then his most recent and you can answeer that one yourself. I didn't think MAB almost beat JMM either. That was a close fight, but it was the type of fight where maybe the rounds were close but it was still clear who was winning them. Not to mention MAB was almost KTFO in there.

He went 24 rounds with the P4P best in the world, who is naturally bigger then him, and won the majority of the rounds :deal That puts him on the same level as the P4P BEST in the world. You.....are full of **** :good

pac naturally bigger than jmm? marquez fought almost exclusively at featherweight while pacquiao fought most his fights at 112-122. and looking at the first fight, we can see that marquez is a little bigger than pacquiao who have just moved up from 122 after ledwaba and just after mab.

Yeah Pac was the heavier man for both fights and is now telling JMM he will only fight him again at 147lbs  Doesn't sound like something the "smaller man" would do :deal

like how many pounds, pac was 145 at fight night while jmm was 141, a whooping 4 pounds? and i don't have the data during the first match but it's pretty obvious at the tapes that jmm looks a little bigger than than pacquiao with his featherweight frame.

pac is bloating to 147 to fight hoya. even at 135, he looks small compared to diaz. bloating is not the same as natural. :deal

Oh he's not? The world's p4p #1 fighter managed to get a razor-thin win and a draw against him... but nah you're right. He's average.

I don't agree with that at all.

MAB in his prime though? Absolutely. JMM wouldn't know wtf to do against a guy who had the ability to go from calculated and measuring to bonzo gonzo at the blink of an eye especially with MAB's solid body work. Throw in MAB rough house tactics and it'd be a long night for JMM.

MAB is faded, he isnt completely shot but he is definitely past his prime by a lot. He could beat most B-Level opponents but not the elite.

Ya know honestly a lot depends on if he even cares about fighting anymore. I sat through one of my MAB collector sets and I've never seen him look so bored during a fight like he did against Juarez in the sequel. Then he one upped that by looking like he had to take a **** throughout the entire fight with JMM. Let's not even touch the Pac rematch either where he did a Lance Armstrong impersonation.

It's one thing to evolve and be more technical, it's another to seemingly abandon everything that made you successful in hopes of surviving.
