I honestly thought he was starting to fade before Pac I..showed signs against Tapia.

I dont think his fight with Marquez was that close, had some debatable rounds and the scores were strangely wide but couldnt see any other outcome to that fight.

At the very least he is well above his prime weight.

Barrera is past his best but has not shown signs of being truly shot. It is only a matter of time when he really gets hurt. This is why he should stay retired.

Prime Barrera is far better than the current crop. And despite this they all can thank him for their current names which they got on a cheap background (old Barrera and to some extent Morales).

He was in his prime in the mid/late 90s to early 00s.

Prime MAB beats JMM in a closely fought fight, and he stops PAC late. It wasn't prime MAB in there against Pacquiao, and I'm not going to argue with anybody who says otherwise. Pacquiao is a lucky son of a *****, the way he keeps getting these decisions against JMM.

Pac took the foot off the pedal bigtime in the second Barrera fight

can you explain how a younger-brawling mab would stop pacquiao when a more technical one (p4p#3) cannot do the job? i know that you like mab and jmm that much but the amount of underrating you guys are giving pac is truly absurd especially after seeing what happened in real fights that happened and not the "what if" scenarios you are trying to visualize. :-(

It's the same underrating hardcore Pac fans give JMM, I guess.

Got to live with both of them :good

I'm a big Marquez fan, but I take my hat off to Pac.

i believe that. his pinnacle of success was when he avenged his loss to morales the second time, this was after the hammed fight (where he reached superstardom). his will to win was hurt after that, in fact in his fight with the pacman, they seem to underestimate pacman. he said in one of his interviews that, he thinks pacman is the younger "me" (barrera). that younger version he described, as we all know, is the brawler, devil-may-care type of fighter. his will to win was badly hurt after he ended up in a TKO loss. but don't get me wrong the "post-pacman" barrera version is pretty talented, he made a strong case in the superfeather weight division by halting talented up-and-comer fighters

i'm a pac fan and i appreciate marquez as he gave pac a tough challenge in both fights. it somehow made made me a fan of marquez and root for him if not fighting with pac himself. i don't underrate jmm like these hardcore jmm fans are doing to pac, in fact i was the first to rate him above joe on the p4p list after he demolished casa which i also predicted.

Are you in the years 2000, because that was the time that Barrera was in his prime
