I was worried that this might happen. Hopefully it's not true, but if it is hopefully he's just unretiring to have one last fight in Mexico against a B-level or something like that. The only "champion" I would like to see him in the ring with is Valero. He could easily knock him out, even at this point and retire as a titlist. I don't think the fight could be made though, especially because they're friendly with eachother.

I dont think thats the case, or it would have likely been explained as such in the newscast.

What Patsys wrote is what I read even before the Barrera-Pac II fight. In ESPN blog in the Mayweather vs Hatton fight, the writer also wrote that he have talked with Barrera and he said that Barrera wants one more fight (not a big fight as what he said before the Pac fight) just to get his hand raised for the last time.

Barrera fought Paq with the intentions of making it to the cards. He should go away. Mexican boxers just don't do that.

This is very bad news of fans of MAB...he has done more than enough for the sport and for the fans...I am sure all of us just want him to retire gracefully and stay healthy.

What is the point of having a win against a punching bag? Money? He has got enough...it's not good for boxing that he is staying on.
