Good performance but don't go overboard in the praise.

i think everyone knew this before the fight. but a lot of people thought that even this version of mab would be way too much for khan

good win for khan but as you say...this doesn't make khan a world beater

    Agree.
    He looks alot better though.
He's listened alot to Freddie Roach and looks so much better now.

Good performance from Khan, but as usual, he's beaten a much smaller man, and he was was caught and shaken by a hard punch near the end. He's still got to prove he can beat class opponents who fight in his weight division.

He looked good, but the massive cut kind of made the fight a mulligan for me. If that didn't happen, I doubt the fight would have played out the same way.

Good win for Khan, I'm gutted about it though. I hope Warren actually thinks about his next move though and doesn't go for that title shot. Marquez would kill him.

Yep the fight was a bag of wank. Kinda like what we all hoped would not happen.

The haters wanted Khan to lose and the fans wanted him to beat a decent version of a legend.

Instead we got to see Khan tap an old old man and win by a clash of heads.

    Awful for everyone.

I think he was effectively in his prime: not in his prime, but not far away enough from it to make a difference. The result would be no different were it the MAB from a decade ago.

How many boxers have beaten someone like MAB so early in their career? That's right. :deal

Nah, i think it would've happened similarly. Much smaller guy, small reach and always past his best.

Don't get me wrong, good performance from Khan, showed improvements so a :good from me for what it's worth.

Even if he was at his best, seriously.

Think about it, he is not fighting at his best weight.

    And Speed Kills...

MAB has never had blinding speed, of foot or Punch combinations.

I was rooting against Khan, but I'd rather see him KTFO Barrera without the cut then see him win like that. Yeah he was outboxing Barrera badly, but he was wobbled and could have been wobbled further in later rounds if Barrera didn't have a canyon opening up on his forehead. It sucks that we'll never know.

I reckon next fight should be somebody with a low KO rate but bigger, or at least as big, as Amir so he gets used to fighting bigger fighters before moving onto big AND dangerous fighters.

The MAB fight will be good for his confidence and will help his nerves (because getting in the ring with MAB, even an old one, requires balls), but obviously shouldn't be made out to be something that it isn't- ie a world-class victory.

Barrera is not a happy camper, Say's the cut seriously hampered his effort.
When he looks at the tape, he will know that he is an old man fighting a young determined faster bigger guy.
