Macca vs Cunningham? MASSIVE respect to Enzo!

  1. So I see Enzo is chasing a match vs Cunningahm massive props to him I say! Too many fighters lose one fight then go onto fight a bum just to look good *cough* Ricky Hatton *cough* who ended up looking even worse *cough* but for Enzo to actively chase Cunningham I give him massive respect - as should we all; boxing needs people like this just as we needed a man like Haye and his colourful personality in the HW division!

This match is a win win for both. Steve has something to prove, he wanted to fight Haye and if he beats Macca he proves he was capable of at least sharing the ring with Haye whom he never got to fight. Enzo meanwhile wants a top class name on his resume to prove he's not overhyped or a bum; go at it boys!!!:happy

Enzo was talking about a rematch with Haye also and going to HW int he future too. My 2 cents is @ HW Haye would dominate him even worse with the steady and controlled (read non drug use) build up of bulk in his move to HW which is better for his body so he won't lose any of his core strengths. Enzo should request the rematch at CW or catchweight.

P.S. 3 years ago boxing was dead, no one wanted to fight anybody, now we get all these matches! What gives!?!?!?!?!

  3. I'm not saying Macca is great btw, I've admitted I was wrong about him publically in the past but still you have to give this man respect for what h's trying to do.

You have to take a tune -up fight. I don't feel that any boxer is a bum though. To just get in the ring take courage.

I don't see what was wrong with Hatton taking a tune-up fight before getting in the ring with a top fighter. It is the smart thing to do. Now, if he gets in the ring with Cunningham and gets tagged "Oh, no Haye again". It will surely ruin him for good to get knocked out again. He has to build a little confidence and it does not matter if you were just the champion. What happened to him with Haye was huge. If he takes on Cunningham right away, then he is just proving to his fans that he is for real, not himself. His fans are not going to pay for his hospital bills if he gets hurt badly and has to retire. Take a tune-up up with a top fifteen fighter.

Massive respect for him if he does take on Cunnigham but may not be the smartest move!

I'm no Hatton fan but Lazcano ain't no bum.

  9. Hatton took what he thought was an easy option. Admittedly it has setup a match with Magg-whatever-his-name but still Hatton had far better options and hardly needed a tune up fight after loosing to the best P4P boxer on the planet; that's hardly something to be ashamed of!

Lets see who he actually ends up fighting in his first comeback fight before we shower all the praise on him at the expense of Hatton-Lascano?

True, although I think the fight was harder than Hatton expected, Lazcano will prove a tough fight for most

    National Health service, its free

  14. Exactly. Hatton expected a walkover of a semi-named boxer but instead he got a win with some questioning refereeing

I thought the ref was a *****, trying to steal some limelight I expect, but with or without that twat in there, Hatton would have won regardless, Lazcano just posed a bigger problem to Hatton than they predicted, kudos to Juan for being such a stubborn mother ****a! :deal
