fight took place in cardiff wales. ding ding round 1/ maccranelli much the bigger man in height at 6.4 has an obvious reach advantage comes out behind a high guard and a long jab and immediatley from the first bell takes ring position making braithwaite back up. braithwaite circling the ring perimeter as macramnelli constantly gets of first with long left jabs and follows up with left hooks in close. braithwaite waiting for opening`s but unbalnced by the jab loses wide in the first. 2nd round more of the same except maccaranelli really puts some meat behind the jabs and turns it into a real pole of a shot , braithwaite switching to southpaw does slow down the maccranelli potshotting but braithwaite struglling to penetrate the high macrannelli guard with anything other than the occasional southpow jab. round 3/braithwaites corner tells him you cannot outbox this guy just throw the right hand over the top. braithwaite duly steps up his voulme of punching this round and there are some fierce exchanges on the inside during the round, braithwaite`s best so far . round 4/ and macrannelli now switching it up beautiffully to the body and head with left hooks , as he presses braithwaite to the ropes and fires off some lovely qucik and hard lefts to the body and head wuth real speed and thudding obvious power, braithwaite through the first 4 rounds sticks his tounge out and nods to the crowd showboating when he has been hit, but he backs off never the less. round 5 and braithwaite gets some timing together and lands some nice counter rights hard on macrannelli and pressures him effectively taking ring center and making macranelli back off with some big powershots mainly overhand rights and is winning the round clearly when coming up to the bell braithwaite launches an assault making macranelli back off to the ropes which he bounces off and catches braithwaite with a big left hook to the temple as braithwaite is coming in and braithewaite topples back 3 steps and then falls to his arse. legit knockdown but braithwaite immediatley recovered , and the bell went as braithwaite got up at about 3 or 4. round 6 to 10 and it was now a steady beating with macrannelli really coming forward countering lovley with the left hook any braithwaite right lead time and time again , and braithwaite was visibly discoraged , no longer willing to press the fight because of counters. braithwaite also wisely had a high guard at all times when in punching range although he showboated hands down out of range., but he was winning nothing on the scorecards in these rounds. 2 notable punches a huge right uppercut on the bell in the 6th i think by macranelli sent braithwaites gumshield flying into the crowd and a big left hook when braithwaite was backing up in the 9th hurt braithwaite and had him on wobbly legs. 11th and 12 th were enzo boxing within himself , although still going for some combos and braithwaite resigned to defeat , despite knowing he needed a ko to win those body shots all fight had sapped him of anything and he was visibly tired and battered swollen eye and cut lip. enzo had a bruise over his left eye. enzo wins u/d 12 wide on all scorecards scorecards were something like 109-119 107-120 118 -110 it was a mature controlled performance , piciking of leads with the gloves, showing good handspeed and not being reckless and also took some solid punches against an always dangerous opponent who could score a ko which kept the fight intresting even though it was one sided. enzo showed he is definatly a player at cruiserweright and will not be easy fight for anyone .
