Its ****ing disgraceful man. Frank Warren's guys even deleted my rant from their site. Everyone knows they've ducked you now, I'll be sure to bring this up with Frank on Nov3, although I doubt he'll talk to me after the tirade I gave him at Williams vs Gammer.
I just came back down stairs from running on my treadmill with THE suit on to make sure my weight was good. I dry off and read this ****ing BS. Makes me sad to be honest. I thought they ran out of people. **** man!!!
Honestly I knew that it was not likely I'd get the fight yesterday. I spoke with Nwodo's promoter and they offered him the fight. He just got back into the gym, so they had to turn it down. Warren's matchmaker told him that I was to much of a risk. He asked for me since he knew I was gunning for the fight and we're friends. Why couldn't he just think it would be an easy win for Enzo like alot of the posters here???:think ....:scaredas:
sadly it's not suprising though. i mean look how class acts like calzaghe have been baby fed over the years. warren doesn't want any of his cashcows to lose marketability, so he doesn't risk them against guys who stand a real chance of beating them.
Everyone knows Enzo's chin is poor. You can punch hard. Throw an overly cautious promoter/manager into the mix and you got a fight that will never happen unless you made it your personal mission to become Enzo's mandatory. As we've seen, with Warren's seemingly god-like power over the WBO rankings, I don't fancy your chances of that either. i.e. Chase other belts if that's what you want.
The WBO Cruiserweight rankings as of 15:49 on the 26th October 2007. Just for the record. 1 Marco Huck GER 2 David Haye GB 3 Johnathon Banks (NABO) USA 4 Vincenzo Cantatore ITA 5 Gregory Drozd (Asia-Pacific) RUS 6 Giacobbe Fragomeni ITA 7 Darnell Wilson USA 8 Herbie Hide GB 9 O'Neil Bell USA 10 Alexander Alexeev (Int-Cont) RUS 11 Alexander Gurov UKR 12 Rudolf Kraj CZE 13 Rob Calloway USA 14 Mohamed Azzaoui ALG 15 Vadim Tokarev RUS What happened to Ezra Sellers being number 15!??! As of October 15th: 14 Wayne Braithwaite USA 15 Ezra Sellers USA
Heh. Just yesterday Azzaoui wasn't in their top 15. Sellers wasn't in the top 15 either at the time. Yesterday, Brathwaite was #14; suddenly, without any of them fighting, both Azzaoui and Tokarev pass him... Good for Warren. He found another fighter with a shiny record against cans with nary a bit of pop in his punch. I hope Azzaoui wins so he's stuck with options on an unmarketable, boring fighter.
An absolute disgrace. Ding you have my upmost sympathy, but on the upside you are now an official member of the "ducked by frank warren" club and thats a club with a lot of great fighters in it. Keep going and hopefully you can embarass Warren into giving you a fight with Enzo eventually.
just Boxrec'd this guy's record, never heard of any of the guys he fought. he has 8 KO's of 22 wins, all of said wins are against total bums. He drew a 6 rounder with Terry Tutero in 2003. Terry Tutero is 0-9-1. This is guy must be ****ing terrible. At least Ezra Sellers had a puncher's chance. By the way, I think that draw must've really taken its toll on poor terry, coz he weighed in at 210 for that fight, but has managed to put on 110lbs since then.
I'm now totally in Dings corner for this.....I've criticised you before Darnell, but i genuinely feel after reading this that Frank Warren knows something about Enzo we don't. I.e. he's sparred a fighter similar to you recently and been whitewashed. For the record though, **** FRANK WARREN.
