With my well known physical impairment.:good Hence the reason top fighters aren't so quick to jump in bed with me, cause their management knows a little better than that. There isn't one person in Ring Magazine's current top 10 that we didn't try to fight.:deal I can't get a rematch with Tokarev to save my life. I'm friends with his manager and he says...:nono
I'm sure there were plenty of better opponents who were more than willing to take this fight on short notice. Cantatore would have been perfect. Ding was a stretch cuz of the risk. This fight is a sham and that will be magnified once the prinicpals are out of the ring and the two REAL champions (Joe and Mikkel) enter it.
http://15rounds.com/boxing/News/2007/10/cunningham-101607.php And from Adamek - interviews and his official page
I said that this fight won't going to happen - the rumour was just made up for Cunningham/DKP to get a bigger payceck from Sauerland. Btw Ding, the doping control system in Germany is at least 10 times better than yours in the US. And all Sauerland fighters have to give unannounced blood/urine samples all over the year. And please tell me why Abraham hasn't built up his stamina trough those "methods"? I guess you are not that eager to face Huck :deal
:nono We were all set to fight him in Sept of 2006. I agreed to the terms of the fight and then they called back 5 days later saying they were no longer interested.:deal
this was in 2006, now he is way more matured - once he took away the title from Cunningham you should be interested again in fighting him - you know where the money is at CW :deal
I have already left a message for Dino to call King and try and set that up right away. As long as its an eliminator or a guarunteed title shot. Of course Adamek might feel like, "damn, I was gonna get my shot already." "Now you want me to fight The Ding-A-Ling Man.":tired I've always enjoyed watching Adamek fight, whats not to like about him and his style of boxing.:bbb
IMO huck will be the man to beat at cruiserweight when he eventulally fights for a title. reminds me a bit of an orhthodox D/M. thick as **** , but still a very good fighter.
Something tells me you didn't see that one.:think Usually I would argue my case, but the fact that I was out of the gym for nearly two months and got a call on monday when the fight was on saturday, maybe I deserved to get jobbed for disrespecting the sport I love. This was during my very hard times period, I still view this particular fight a blessing cause I really needed the money and it saved my ass. I would do it all again the same way if I was faced with the same situation. My period of really hard times was from July 05 until approx August 06, and I found out about my physical impairment early in september of 06. Like I said before, no regrets. Since then, my walk around weight has increased by nearly 20lbs. I'm WAY ****in stronger physically(core strength) now. I've always been a stand up guy and I will tell that only 2 of my loses were just(Tokarev&Cora). You can believe what you wish, but if I fought Emmanuel in the same state as I was when I fought Cora, I might have been stopped for the first time in my career, as I could barely hold up my arms after a couple of rounds.
