how reputable is mickeys fish and chips bar? that could have been the issue that decided the fight.

Jo Emma Larvin sat next to him - in both the vauxhall people carrier on the way to the fight - and at the arena ringside - had her hands clasped over her face in sheer shock - after seeing Maccarinelli suddenly ambushed in the corner in front of her - only to get up and stagger all over the ring.

Up until that point - I think she just assumed all of Joes and his boxing friends - always win and beat the "other guy".

there is a picture floating around the internet somewhere of the fish bar.

The vauxhall people carrier was spotted outside the bar - and it was close to midnight.

Enzo and Enzo (Calzaghe and Maccarinelli ) - were in the front seats of the Vauxhall People Carrier scoffing their faces.

Who actually was Enzo sparring with in the lead up to Haye?

I do find it mad that Joe Calzaghe didn't spar in the lead up to fights anywhere near as often as you'd have thought & I remember hearing Enzo didn't spar a single round before his fight with Afolabi.

Calzaghe not sparring actually suited him though it gave his hands as much rest as possible it really is remarkable he achieved so much training the way he did.

Enzo trained all his fighters the same way but it clearly didnt work for all of them he got them into ridiculous shape but that was about the rest they had to deal with themselfs in the ring

Yeah I know Joe struggled with his hands, he was actually a banger when he was younger but had to adapt later on.

But still, to simply not spar in the lead up to fights, especially at that level I find it mad.

Before Sugar Ray Leonard came back against Hagler for example, I remember him saying that he fought behind closed doors for 12 months just to get used to being hit again.

Micky's is a decent chip shop. In London it can be hard to find good ones. They are mostly the jack-of-all-trades places that sell kebabs, quarter pounders etc as well as fish and chips. I suppose Micky's is that kind of place too, but the fish and chips are of a high quality.
