Floyd was saying how he wished he was In prison with Hatton and you know it was for the cameras. Enzo was more respectful than him.

You guys buy Into the hype too much.

I don't buy into the hype at all! On the contrary! I start threads laughing at fighters who hype themselves and get called a hater as a result!:deal

Peter has a soft jaw too. Prob better than Haye's but not great.

Peter's power Is controversial, most of his KO's come after he's slammed them to the back of the head so much.

Sure is lousy the fat fcker.

Reminds me of a souped up Roman Greenberg. Both crap plodders but Peter has a chrome tailpipe.

Not sure I agree with Peter having a soft jaw because he has been hit flush and did not go down against Wlad Klitschko, he went down 3 times when hit on the button by McCline and got up to win so don't think he is chinny at all. I have seen a lot of him and he can definitely take a shot. In fact his chin is much better than Vlad Klitschko. I am going to give Haye's chin the benefit of the doubt especially as he no longer has to struggle to make Cruiserweight. I am not convinced the Karl Thompson defeat was down to a poor chin maybe it was due to being fatigued.

It does not matter where he hits them the fact is noone wants to take to many from this guy that is for sure.

I love Haye as a fighter I really do but I think there is some wishful thinking going on. The fact Peter has not been stopped by guys who can punch should tell you something.

Fluxstuff I don't doubt Haye hits very hard and his speed. However you seem to underestimate Peter's qualities which are not only is a very hard hitter, he has vey fast hands for a really big man and can take a hard puncher. The more technically gifted Toney and Wlad really struggled with this guy. The question in his match up with Haye is whether based on available evidence will Haye be able to withstand his power whereas Peter might be able to withstand Haye's power. One thing for sure I will be their at ringside to watch my two favourite heavyweights. I don't think Haye has a bad chin and the jury for me is out in that against Thompson it seemed more like exhaustion to me and then against Mormeck it might have been due to struggling to make the weight. In any event getting up off the floor to win is bthe mark of a great fighter as it shows a fighter is not just a front runner.

so just over a year on, to those who were giving me **** for my assessment of Maccarinelli and who said he would be a cruiser champ again....just wondering what you think now?
I'd say my assessment is harsh, but more accurate than those who say he's a top 2 or 3 cruiser and who just got caught with a big punch.
he was just never that good to begin with and, I repeat, he has a massively padded record.
I'd pick a few current cruisers over him.

    Something is amiss here

Maccarenelli was a WBO champion and attemting to unify the WBC / WBA titles too and then maybe IBF after that

He failed in his attempt to be crowned the Undisputed World Crusierweight Champion NO 1

But to compete at that level is a huge drop down to journeyman standard

A jouneryman is someone like Peter Buckley

Not a fighter who was trying to unify the WBO / WBC / WBA World Crusierweight titles in the main event at the 02 arena being watched by thousands of fans and millions of TV viewers in Britain and the USA
