Yeah, you were right. No-one paid attention to you before as it's hard to take a guy who looks like Celine Dion seriously.

    I totally agree

But thats a key point -

    Camp Calzaghe are rank amateurs

For that fight Enzo was sparring with the likes of Gavin Rees and Bradely Price

Most of his training was just on the bag or pads or sprinting up some steps

Haye was out in Miami sparring with big rugged harderned heavyweights

He had a $1000 prize to every sparring partner for who could be the first man to floor him to make them work him harder

When Enzo stepped in the ring that night think of the shock to the system of having playing tap tap sparring with Gavin Rees to suddenly being hit full blooded in a full blooded fight by David Haye :yikes

Enzo was in good physical shape and was ready to go 12 tough rounds - no doubt

But his preparation had not prepared him for facing someone with the power of David Haye

There's no preparation Enzo could have done in order to bridge the obvious gap in class between the two.

    Maybe so

However he prepared like a amateur in terms of sparring work.

Enzo was beaten before he stepped in the ring that night.

You could tell he was bricking it as soon as he started jogging down to the ring. I still cant believe he didnt take a count when he was in the corner though. He took 3 or 4 hard right hands when he didn't need to.

He did brick it on the night

Must of been a big reality check

Because in the months and weeks leading up to the fight he was talking big and confident like he was relishing the fight and proving himself against Haye

But on the night he was struggling

He forgot to do his hair - all jokes aside - that was a sign of stress I believe

And he run to the ring

I thought he fought apprehensive too - afraid to get his punches off

And he was backing off Haye at the end - which is the wrong way to fight Haye - and Haye then swarmed all over him and finished him off

A terrible night for Enzo Macc

And one that looks to have destroyed his confidence and career in the long run

I still saw signs in that fight though of Hayes vunerability

Haye has some vulnerabilities alright, but it was hard to see them in that fight - it simply didn't last long enough.

Maccarenellis rebuilding process continues as he attempts to try to claw himself back to the top of the Cruiserweights

I think he is fighting again this month (March) against a Journeyman / European fighter.

Then he wants to go for the British title.

And then maybe the likes of Huck, etc for the WBO title.

    I disagree...

Betty can still produce a good post now and then.

    Enzo should start again,

    British, Commonwealth, then European.

He needs to avoid getting Ko'd for a good year or so then he can start to exorcise the demons with some good wins.

    Great prospect of a fight.

    Love to see that.

They both use to fight out of the infamous Camp Calzaghe :kenny:lama

    Love to see it.

It would be the battle of South Wales.

Maybe Frank Waren can make it happen.

Either Enzo drop down to Light Heavy.

Or Clev go up to Crusierweight.

Or better yet a cacth weight between the 2 weights. :bbb
