It wasnt obvious to most - as the likes of Colin Hart, etc - were picking Maccarinelli to win the fight.

But it seemed it was obvious to the smug Adam Booth and David Haye.

Haye has revealed in a video I seen of him talking to Steve Bunce:

The whole build up to the fight was a farce - because to him it was just about turning up to claim his cheque.

He described the fight as "free money"

And said he and Booth had a big grin on their faces warming up on the pads and they knew they would win easy.

    Sorry.

    I stand corrected.

But the main point was - the fight was shown live throughout the United States.

Haye or Maccarinelli had never been involved in a promotion / fight this big before.

And the egg chin got cracked again.

Like I said all along, he's always a glass jawed journeyman who benefitted from clever matchmaking and cherrypicking to a bogus WBO strap.
For all know he may be a nice guy, but he's never beat any top notch fighters.

I wonder what the blood test will show after?

I think he is/was a decent boxer just with defensive holes and a shaky chin. If he was in the lower division it probably wouldnt have been such a big issue. After all, he wasnt outclassed in any of his fights.

But in the cruiserweight division where the depth is shallow but they hit so hard, it was always gonna be win or get kayoed.

So would the Haye shots, and the Afolabi shots. Enzo took a beauty from Haye without wobbling. The man's been a nervous wreck since Haye though and should not be boxing. I'm a big fan and last night was horrible.

I've said it before and I'll say again. People should have to pass a written test before being allowed to post on this forum. Betty being a case in point.
