It's a shame for Enzo that this was that one time then.

I told you all Ola would break through in this fight~ I am happy for him, still waiting to hear back from him but he has had alot to celebrate, the knock out win and his birthday on Sunday.

Ola would beat him 10 times out of 10 and Ola wasnt in great shape for this fight neither when Ola is 100% he is that much more dangerous, the kid has had alot of exposure to good sparring, James Toney, Bhop, Karmazin, Ikeke to name a few the man can fight.

I'm actually more interested in Ola Afolabi after this. He may be a tad underrated. This isnt the first highly hyped opponent he's beaten.

People are just underestimating Afolabi. He has some wicked counter-punching skills and ring movement. Maccarinelli is really one-dimensional and he struggled from the start to keep on top of Afolabi.

Ola lost a few rounds but he had a strategy based on trying to time Enzo with one big shot and take him out, not winning rounds, and that strategy paid off bigtime.

This is a picture of us back in the day, when Ola had about six fights or so, clearly he was in much better shape, Enzo fought an out of Shape Ola one that is in this kind of shape would eat him up

Those Brits had no respect for either of enzos two daddies.

Ola is the better fighter, he beat enzos ass in his own hometown, and didnt need the judges to prove it FFS.

Later enzo, have fun working your way back up over the next 3 years :hi:

What ****s me up is how so many are saying that Ola won only 1 round in that fight, I had it dead even Enzo maybe up by a round but Ola took him into the deep waters and drowned his ass.

They fought once and he lost once, judging by his resume 999,999 left.

I was surprised by the scoring too, I had Enzo a couple of points ahead but some of the rounds were close.

Funny cos in the first round I said to my mate "I like the way this guy fights on the ropes" and remarked that some elements of his style were similar to James Toney, then in the 5th round the commentator announced that he'd sparred with James and it all clicked into place :D

If you do speak to him tell him well done from me, I thought he was great to watch and anyone that makes Enzo Calzaghe look like the dickhead that he is is a friend of mine :good

Why not? He'll stay near the top of the rankings, and Papa Frank will find a way to get him another title shot if he can stay undefeated. The bigger question is whether Afolabi will be able to defend his title. I still think most of the top cruisers beat him.

I have been waiting for his ass to get back to me, but I am sure he is tied up after this win and his birthday the following day, Hopefully I can see if he is willing to do the On The Grind Radio show with Chuffy.
