If he was on the grind it'd be great, I liked the look of him before the fight incidentally, you could tell he hadn't just come to roll over like most Maccarinelli victims. Wish to **** I'd had a bet on it now

I hope he does well in the future, I really enjoyed seeing him work. Amazing that he'd never even had an amateur career, just a true natural I guess.

He never had a career in the ams, but he did have two fights but not a career your correct. However when I was training with him I always wondered how Freddy would make up for the lack of the amatuer experience with him and a few others.

What they did with Ola was basicly give him some soft fights, he was instructed to specificly work on his skills and not to look for the knock out, he needed to learn how to box and get in rounds and win going the distance.

his Amatuer days basicly is a mix of the soft fights he has had and the tons and tons of sparring with World class fighters in the gym and in southern california.

This is why his record is misleading when you look at it you think to yourself this guy is a joke he cant punch etc.... You see where that kind of thinking got Enzo Mac, and people will still think that is a fluke becuase the record is still misleading its easier to say Enzo is a bum or over rated than it is for some to say Ola has some skills.

And that alone will cause alot of fighters who fight Ola some serious problems. Ola can fight he can box and yes he can punch.

As the rounds were moving on Afolabi was gaining more and more headway by reserving energy while Macca was (by his own confession) getting weaker and weaker , and Afalobi knew it.. It looked like a matter of time before Ola struck for gold... Hey planned the whole thing and knew how to execute it, Afolabi knew Macca couldn't dent his armour so he waited it out.. Maccrinelli would have never made the end of the fight , he was on puppet legs from round 5 on.. Ola would beat EM 900,000 times out of a million fights between the two, because he was the hungrier of the two.. and had a plan of sorts.......

You can mess up a thousand times in the gym and in sparring for a fight , its where you correct your faults, but come fight time.......

    You can't mess up... !!!

When you have such an important fight scheduled, i don't know what Maccrinelli was thinking by not sparring a single round.. It was an insane recipe..

We all know about recipe's dont we CHEF..... LOL

How do we really know he didnt spar? becuase he said he didnt? I mean come on the man got his ass handed to him and now all of this, what happend to the there is no way I am going to lose this fight?

Bottom line is if you dont spar or feel you dont need it do not use it as an excuse when you lose, Enzo has 22 profesional fights he knows the work required to do this job.

    Enzo is a LOOOSER.

Been saying it for quite some time. Id favor him to win the rematch cause He will try to be to causious this time and hide that chin but I still would count Ola to knock his ass out.

    These fights are 50/50

    Most mossible outcomes:

    Enzo points

    Ola by KO

Enzo you lost you fruit go back to fighting your Bobby Gunns of the world.

He took the Ola fight cause he thought he would be a bum and it would give him some recognition into another title shot being he beat another hyped up fighter in Fields, and maybe at Adamek, which he oh so didn't/doesn't deserve.

Ramiriez would of KO'd him btw. So it doesn't matter anyways.

Exactly the point i am making, Enzo had no explainations for his actions he just said he did no sparring and had very little energy going into the fight...

I say , then Pull out......

But he underestimated OLA.. the rest is history.........

dont know what fight you were watching but it was a lot closer than macca ahead by 7 or 8 points?? maccarinelli was slower than a ****ing ice age!! he threw predictable 3 punch combos, which afolabi blocked, countered, slipped ancd ducked....whenever macca had him on the ropes and threw his 3 punches he didnt follow up.... i think afolabi knew exactly what his game plan was and follwed it to a t....it wasnt just a lucky chance

of course it wasnt luck, basic slip counter is what ended the fight, a very basic shot you learn at Wildcard, slip the jab and catch him inbetween with that right hand, Ola should have followed up with the left hook though he didnt need it, he still should have.

I really believed that Enzo Macaroni was a top 5 CW but I am starting to think he might only be top tire Euro level at best.

Why becuase that is easier to beleive than giving Ola credit for his win? :verysad

Enzo shouldn't of been in the top 10 let alone top 5 in the CW rankings.

I personally had him at 14 or so prior to the Ola fight.

I will give Ola credit for the victory because he ws boxing slick at times, but it was more a case of Enzo losing the fight than Ola winning it. I dont see Afolabi winning a title and he will just get out pointed by guys like Huck, Flores, Cunningham and maybe Hide.
